Hi, I’m Donna and I have been a weight loss and fitness trainer for 18 years and have had a growing unease with the fact that I have only been able to train a small number of women at a time. I knew what I was doing was right, something I felt called to do and something that WORKED. But after 18 years I was frustrated because I knew that no matter how many hours I worked, no matter how many women I helped to get fit and stay fit, I would never have the impact I knew was desperately needed by women of all ages.
I was encouraged by many of my clients, including dynamic speaker and author, Carol Lewis of First Place 4 Health, to somehow, some way, reach more women. While I wasn’t sure how, I knew that the internet was the answer. So I put together a team of the most talented minds I could find, and did what I have always done, found the SOLUTION.
You see, weight loss and fitness is not just about doing one thing. It’s about physical training, nutrition, spirituality and not least of all, support through community.

So let’s break this down.
a word that is taboo for many women… Strength Training.
Most women falsely think that strength training is just for men. “I’ll get bulging muscles!!!” or “weights are too heavy for women” I am here to tell you this is ABSOLUTELY FALSE! In fact women need weight training every bit as much as men do. And don’t worry, you WILL NOT get big man muscles and here’s why. Everyone (including women) produces a hormone called testosterone which facilitates the growth of muscles. The difference is men produce up to 20 TIMES the amount that women do.
Women who strength train will get a slimmer, more defined figure but NO BULGING MUSCLES. This is because the amount of muscle on your body determines the level of your metabolism. For the same amount of weight, your muscles burn forty times as many calories as fat. Let me repeat that… your muscles burn 40 times as many calories than fat!
If you are trying to lose weight, your best plan is to reduce calories while doing both cardio exercise and strength building resistance exercise. The cardio exercise will burn more calories at any one exercise session, but the strength training exercises will build more muscle so that your overall resting metabolism will increase. This means that even when you are sleeping at night you will burn more calories!
Whoohoo!!! Sleep and burning calories… this is better than the Krispy Kreme Diet!
Once you’ve joined and in the member’s area, you will be able to access your custom workout. It’s the same as if I was training you 1-on-1 in my gym and you’re not getting the same workout as everyone else.

FACT: Did you know that if you log and track your workouts you will make more progress than you could have imagined when you started. I have 18 years of experience backing me up on this.
Those that log and track their exercises ALWAYS make more progress than those who don’t.

Your body instinctively knows what are the right foods to eat
It’s really simple. Your body instinctively knows what are the right foods to eat. Your body tells you. But you need guidance and structure to help your brain understand what your body already knows and wants.
If you have been feeding your body low nutritional foods, such as fast food, sweets or even low nutritional foods from the grocery store, your body will crave more because it’s not getting what it needs.
There is a really special guide that is simple to use, and delicious. No special foods, no “dieting”.
Ugh, I hate that word dieting. It is one of the most overused, misapplied words in the English language. That is why I like the word nutrition better. If you follow good nutritional practices in addition to my other recommendations, the flab WILL come off!
While the physical training is a very big part of the FitAbove50 program, what you put in your mouth is probably the most important part of the entire program.
Most people that come to me don’t realize that we are going to look at and track what they eat. They think all I’m going to do is give them a good workout and make them sweat to lose weight.

Let Me Give You A Tip: If you will track what you eat everyday, I PROMISE you will attain your goal much faster than you think. I have seen this over and over in the past 18 years… People who track what they eat (and their workouts) get to where they want to go so much faster.
When someone comes to me and tells me that they’re not loosing weight doing the program, I always ask to see the logs of what they have been eating. 99.99% of the time the answer I get is they haven’t been tracking. Once they start tracking again the weight starts dropping again. Pretty simple…

Stress is one of the number one reason that we gain weight. A hormone called cortisol is released when we are under stress and tells our bodies that we need to store fat. We don’t want that!
As a women we tend to eat for comfort or binge when the stress increases. I know because I’ve been there. There is a way out. With God and a community of like minded women you can do this.

I’m Talking about other women just like yourself
The final piece to the puzzle and the biggest piece missing from most of the so called weight loss and dieting programs out there. I know, I know someone is going to mention a program like Weight Watchers or Nutrisystems or some such as having a support system. But I’m not talking about talking to a nurse or weight counselor.
I’m talking about community. I’m talking about other women just like yourself. Some a few steps ahead (Paul), some a few steps behind (Timothy) but all there for each other night and day.
How do we do this? We have a very unique online Community that allow women to connect into groups and community with each other.

Does This Mean I Have To Be 50 Years Plus To Be Able To Join?
This program is geared for WOMEN OF ANY AGE, from 18 to 80 and even beyond.
Many of my clients have entered into that age range where things started to go south on them (no pun intended). This is also an area I specialize in and the “baby boomers” have just become the bulk of our population.
They wrongly believed that this is just what growing older is about. You get fat, lose muscle tone, balance and strength and slowly succumb to diseases like diabetes and heart conditions. Nothing could be further from the truth, even if you are past the 50 year mark, it’s never too late to change that outcome.
I have many clients that have even been able to give up most if not all of their medications. Like their blood pressure medication and insulin for diabetes.That alone pays for the minimal cost of this program.
I have to say the younger you start on this program and follow these principles the less likely that you will have to be on some of these types of medications or have these problems in the first place.
